The Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society is on the hunt for a few good volunteers to become new docents at Ker Place. What is a Docent you ask? A Docent is a person who acts as a guide, on a voluntary basis, in a museum or art gallery. Our Docents volunteer for at least 4 hours a month and the only qualification needed is a passon for interacting with the public. We will have Saturday positions open for high school juniors and seniors looking for community service hours. If you think you have what it takes to corral a group of people around the Ker Place museum, give us a call at 757-787-8012.
