In addition to the usual exhibits, Hunt House Museum welcomes the newly formed Sowams Group to our local 17th century site. The Sowams Group is dedicated to spotlighting more than fifty 17th century Native American and colonial sites in the 8 communities originally known as “Sowams” (the south country). Members of the Pokanoket tribe and representatives from all the communities will have exhibits/ maps of sites open to the public.
