The legendary frontiersman spent his last years in the peace and beauty along the Missouri River and died in the home of his son, Nathan. The four-story Georgian-style house is the centerpiece of Lindenwood University's Heritage Center. The attached village is comprised of more than a dozen historic buildings moved from the local area and includes buildings such as a school house, carpenter shop, general store, grist mill, and the Old Peace Chapel. Take a glimpse into life on the Missouri frontier and the experiences of Daniel Boone and his family. The story of the Boone family is part of a fascinating history of westward expansion.
