The Jones Library Special Collections is a department of Amherst's public library. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and make accessible the history of Amherst, Massachusetts. We host history-related events, collect and preserve historical materials, and make these materials accessible for use by genealogists, historians, students, and the general public in our Reading Room. We also maintain exhibits featuring poets Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, and Robert Francis as well as rotating exhibits about aspects of Amherst's history.
