The Norwalk Historical Society was incorporated in 1899 with the focus on “the research, preservation, and promotion of interest in the history of Norwalk.” Through our many educational exhibits, programs and lectures, we highlight Norwalk’s rich history and diversity in the region. The Norwalk Historical Society manages and operates the Norwalk Historical Society Museum and Mill Hill Historic Park.

The Norwalk Historical Society Museum at 141 East Avenue in Norwalk, CT is open Wednesday - Saturday 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Closed on holidays and during special events. Front entrance accessible only from the Norwalk City Hall parking area at 125 East Ave., Norwalk, CT.  The Museum is in the red brick house with double blue front doors, next to the Norwalk Health Dept.

Mill Hill Historic Park grounds are open everyday from sunrise to sunset. The Townhouse, Governor Fitch Law Office and Downtown District Schoolhouse are open by appointment only and on special events.
