Since 1898 the Wisconsin Historical Society has had a program to assist local historical societies statewide. It was the first such program in the nation. Today it assists over 400 local historical organizations with more forming every year.
The Wisconsin Historical Society's Local History-Field Services Program supports local historical organizations throughout Wisconsin by providing the following networking and training events and opportunities:
