During World War I, women were able to enlist in the U.S. Navy as Yeomen with non-combat duties. Besides freeing Yeomen up for combat ratings, these Yeomen (F) were also gender pioneers in the military. What impact did their nationally recognized service in the military have on these women's involvement in the suffrage movement? Discover what Independent Historian Jane Sciacca’s research unveils about the Yeomen (F).
