Walk Among the Shadows

Vine Lake Preservation Trust of Medfield will sponsor a special event at Vine Lake Cemetery at which the long-awaited map and guide, Walk Among the Shadows, will be distributed free to all attendees.  This map and guide features 50 sites within the Old Section and will highlight famous and noteworthy persons and gravestone art.

Also at 10:30 and 11:30 that morning a short presentation about Mercy Scollay, Medfield's unrecognized but truly deserving Daughter of Liberty, will be made at her memorial.  The presenter is Sam Forman, author of a recently published book about her fiancee, General Joseph Warren who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill.  Sam will appear in his Patriot attire having just arrived in Medfield from the early morning reenactment at Lexington Green.  The firing of his musket will announce the Mercy Scollay presentations.
