Torn Asunder: The Civil War Midstream

Freedom, slavery, divided families and divided loyalties amid the tragedy of a Civil War are dramatically brought into focus with the special theatrical presentation of “Torn Asunder: The Civil War Midstream.”  A collaborative effort between the Baltimore School for the Arts, Maryland Historical Society and National Park Service, the production showcases four scenes that illustrate the human side of the conflict. The public performances will be held on April 27, 2:00 pm at Hampton National Historic Site, a former slave plantation in Baltimore County and on May 3, 6:00 pm at the Maryland Historical Society and lasts approximately one hour, reception to follow.  This production is free of charge as part of National Parks Week and is supported by a grant from Wells Fargo.
