Lawrence Heritage State Park
May is Preservation Month, and DCR is celebrating with a month-long calendar of programs called "Stories in Stone", focussing on some of the rockier aspects of Massachusetts' state parks. Lawrence Heritage State Park is included, and will offer a "Walk to the Great Stone Dam"* walking tour, Sunday, May 26, at 1:00. (We start at the Visitor Center and return at approximately 2:30. About a mile and a half of walking involved. One could skip most of the walking by parking at Workers' Place...the park next to Family Service... and joining the group there at approximately 1:20) No reservations required.
