Free Event at the Old Mint, 88 5th Street, San Francisco

The 3rd Annual San Francisco History Expo brings together over 40 local and neighborhood history groups within the remarkable walls of the Old Mint at 5th and Mission Streets in San Francisco. For researchers, journalists, history buffs, and those simply interested in exploring the stories of San Francisco, this is an opportunity for people to learn San Francisco history though displays, presentations, photos, videos, children's activities, and historical reenactments. This year the Expo is bigger and better than ever, and it's free! There will be a raffle with great prizes from the participating organizations as well. Over the last two years more than 7000 people have attended the one weekend only event and viewed exhibits from the SF Historical Society, Guardians of the City, Market Street Railways, GLBT Historical Society, SF History Association, California Historical Society, Chinese Historical Society, The Western Neighborhoods Project, and many others. This year promises to be the best yet.
