Join us for the annual quilt show and spring tea.

1. Local quilts on display in the visitor center and house
2. Quilter's table, featuring craft items, orphan blocks, fat quarters, fabric yardage, and 18" doll clothing
3. Dennis Bixby will be available to sharpen sewing scissors for a fee
4. Visitors can see and make a donation for a chance on this year's opportunity quilt, hand-quilted by the Grinter Place Quilters. The quilt will be given away to one lucky person in December.

Admission to Grinter Place and the quilt show is free courtesy of the Grinter Place Quilters.

Tea will be served at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. with a limit of 25 people per session. Tickets for the tea are $8 per person and reservations may be made in advance. Visitors will be served cucumber sandwiches, butter cookies, scones with local jams and jellies, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and water.

For more information and to make reservations for tea, call 913-299-0373.

Proceeds from the opportunity quilt go directly to support the Grinter Place Friends, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides support for Grinter Place State Historic Site.
