It’s June 1930 and the has been dry for the past 10 years. But that doesn’t mean that alcohol has completely disappeared from the scene. Join us in this trip back through time to a world of “blind pigs,” bathtub gin, and flappers. Costumed interpreters will escort you through the underground world of the Ohio Village as you learn how the 18th Amendment sent alcohol from public bars and taverns to secret watering holes. Venture into the pharmacy for a “prescription” and learn how alcohol was made in bathtubs and hidden stills. Listen to cool jazz tunes while sipping some favorite drinks of the prohibition era, but watch out for the temperance league members and, worse yet, the police!
