 The pecan is one of the most iconic symbols of Texas and is deeply tied to our history and culture.  Did you know that we nearly lost the pecan or that there are multiple varieties in existence?  Here in Washington, we have a unique, old Pecan that has witnessed much of our state’s history.  On June 16th come hear its story and learn more about the state tree.Presentation times are 11:00 AM, 1:00PM and 3:00PM and the program will last approximately thirty-five to forty minutes. This program is open to all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress appropriately for the season as the presentation takes place in a period setting. Held at Washington on the Brazos SHS 12300 Park Rd. 12, Washington, TX 77880. Accessible for the mobility impaired. Program subject to cancellation.
