Calling all future caretakers of the world, ages 12 to 16, for an important art project!
Do you ever wonder about the power of creativity?

At Salem Maritime, we celebrate the vibrant and beautiful waterfront of the Salem Sound. But our oceans and marine wildlife are in danger and they need your help! Plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental challenges of our time but YOU have the power to have a positive effect on the world's environment!

Join park rangers for a special program to learn about marine debris, recycling, and actions you can take in your community to save the world! Then, visual artist and Salem State University professor, Rebecca Plummer Rohloff, will lead us in an exciting painting workshop!

Meet at 9:45 AM sharp at Waite & Peirce, 193 Derby St, Salem. The program is for children ages 12-16. All supplies are included but wear clothes that can get paint on them. Bring snacks and a water bottle.

This workshop is free but space is limited! To register or for more information, email nora_halloran@nps.gov or call (978) 578-1642.

We can't wait to see you there!
