Oregon Museums Association Annual Conference will take place October 26-28, 2014, at the Portland Art Museum, Oregon. The theme for the conference is "Connecting & Collaborating: Inspiring Museums for New Generations". There will be hands on workshops, informative breakout sessions, and exciting networking opportunities.

Each year, museum professionals from throughout Oregon gather to explore best practices and innovative ideas. OMA conferences are a unique opportunity to network and explore challenges and opportunities unique to Oregon museums.

Aili SchreinerFollowing the business meeting on Monday morning will be the guest speakers for the conference.  Join Aili Schreiner, Trust Manager at the Oregon Cultural Trust and Eliza Canty-Jones, Editor of the Oregon Historical Quarterly and Public Outreach Manager at the Oregon Historical Society for the Keynote Address.

The business meeting and guest speakers will be followed by a hosted lunch. Have questions about volunteers, collections, interns and internships, exhibits development, board relations or membership, fundraising and events? Join us for Table Topics while enjoying a delicious lunch provided by OMA. These lunch-time tables are hosted by a colleague from an Oregon museum who will lead a conversation based on one of these themes.
