To celebrate the one-hundred and first anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, award-winning actress Sheryl Faye will bring Susan B. Anthony, one of the most famed suffragists in American History, to life in a forty-five minute performance at the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History on the Regis College campus in Weston.  Ms. Faye, in costume, will trace the life of Ms. Anthony.  The program starts at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 23 with doors opening at 10:00 a.m. The program is suitable for ages seven to adult.

The Museum also features an exhibit that traces the history of woman’s suffrage using stamps from colonial days until the present. You are welcome to view the exhibit before or after the program. Children will be able to take home stamps featuring famous American women.

After Ms. Faye’s performance, representatives of the Boston and Weston Post Offices will hold a brief ceremony, unveiling last year’s commemorative stamp celebrating the amendment’s adoption.
Admission is $5 for adults, and $3 for seniors and children.  For more information, send an email message to info@spellman.org or call 617-784-5838.

State COVID guidelines will be followed.

Ms. Faye’s presentation is part of the Museum’s “Stamps Come Alive” series and part of the celebration of National Stamp Collecting Month.
