The sap will be running and Storrowton Village will be alive with activities and demonstrations on March 11, 2018 from 10am to 3pm for Maple Harvest Day.  Former Storrowton Director Dennis Picard and museum staff will highlight the history and tradition of maple sugaring with tree tapping, spile making, and sap boiling demonstrations which showcase the 19th century maple industry and the origins of our favorite syrup.  Inside the historic Gilbert Farmstead, docents will demonstrate Early American crafts such as quilting, spinning and open hearth cooking.  A great FREE family event!

The West Springfield Lions Club will be serving a Pancake Breakfast which includes pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice - served with pure New England maple syrup - between 10am and 12pm for a $5.00 donation.
