Come to Madison's Capitol Square on February 16-17, 2013

Madison, WI - Every year, Madison Winter Festival attracts more than 20,000 spectators, winter enthusiasts, and athletes.

Over ninety truckloads of snow will transform the Capitol Square into a race and recreational venue the weekend of February 16-17. The inside lanes of the Square will be closed off for the family oriented activities such as snow and ice sculpting, sled hill rides, snowshoeing, winter-themed museum tours, adaptive sit ski programming, and many other events to participate in.

Other fan favorites scheduled throughout the weekend include the SuperTour Pro Cross Country Ski Races, Frosty 5K Run & Walk, Cyclo Frost Cyclocross Race, Frosty 1 Mile Dog Jog and other fun and festive outdoor activities.

Madison Winter Festival revelers can drop in to warm up with hot chocolate and explore Wisconsin's distinct heritage through the Wisconsin Historical Museum's exhibits, Wisconsin Innovations: From the Iconic to the Unexpected and Bottoms Up: A Toast to Wisconsin's Historic Bars and Breweries.

The Festival concludes at 4:00pm on Sunday, February 17th.
