Calling all overwhelmed collection managers! Do you need help setting priorities or drafting policies? Would you like to improve your collection storage and organization? Are you seeking people power and funds to accomplish collection goals?  The grants and programs of the Massachusetts State Historic Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) may be able to help.

The SHRAB provides advocacy and guidance to help ensure the identification, preservation, and use of historical resources (public and private) throughout Massachusetts. To assist cultural heritage sites -- such as historical societies, public libraries, house museums, and town clerks -- the SHRAB offers three kinds of support for preservation, archival supplies, and assistance: the Roving Archivist Program, Veteran's History grants, and the Archival Field Fellowships.

Sarah-Jane Poindexter, the Roving Archivist for the Commonwealth, will be leading a workshop for those who might be interested in taking advantage of these grant programs for their repositories.   Come find out how the SHRAB can help you answer the challenges of your collection!
