The Minnesota Historical Society introduces an ideas exchange for travelers seeking getaways with substance. This debut event takes a closer look at travel around the Iron Range, the resource-rich mecca to the North. Get help creating a unique itinerary for travel during “Dylan Days,” an annual celebration of Hibbing’s native son over Memorial Day Weekend.

Linda Stroback Hocking, one of the festival’s planners, will bring samples from her Dylan-themed restaurant, Zimmy’s. Iron Range Tourism staff will discuss area attractions and little known deals and diversions; Explore Minnesota staff will share the best scenic routes and stops along the way, as well as facilitating a travel tips “swap;” and Society staff will showcase content resources, including podcasts, websites and other mobile experiences that transform your cell phone or tablet into a digital tour guide. The workshop is free, but space is limited, so sign up now!
