Looking for a classic Christmas experience? Old Economy Village opens its doors Saturday, December 7th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 8th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for its annual Christmas at the Village. Walk along a candlelit cobblestone street and window shop in the various stores that contain crafters and demonstrators eager to show off wares from this time. Enjoy mulled wine and hot cider in front of a blazing fire. Listen to carolers as they stroll along the street or listen to local choirs upstairs in the Feast Hall. Local vendors will be selling unique handmade items for last minute gifts. Don’t forget to stop in the Granary for children’s crafts and activities with Miss Patty and her Young Harmonists. Belsnickel (the Pennsylvania Dutch Santa Claus) will be here as well so children can see if they are on the naughty or nice list. Step across the street and visit Gertrude Rapp’s music school and learn a musical piece. There is something for everyone at Christmas at the Village.
Admission for this event is $12 for adults ages, $9 for seniors, $5 for children ages 3-11, and FREE for active military, children under 3, and Friends of Old Economy Village Members. Visitors must first pay for admission at the Visitor Center, 270 16th Street, Ambridge, PA 15003 before walking down to the Village.
