Children can do various stamp activities including making their own collection of US stamps from the Black Heritage US stamp series. Stamps will be on exhibit.  There will be stamp scavenger hunts for prizes, stamp puzzles and searching in the Museum’s two-cent stamp boxes. Children can also design their own Dr. King stamps to display in the Museum’s main gallery. Several arts and crafts activities with stamps will also be available.  Children can also have their photo made into a stamp and create envelopes to send letters to friends.  The postage will be free.

In addition, each family will receive a packet of stamps, a Dr. King US commemorative stamp, and a Black Heritage First Day Cover.  A booklet about how to start a stamp collection will also be available.  The Museum gift shop and official US Post Office will also be open. Children can become a free member of the Museum for one year and receive a packet of stamps each month.
