What a wonderful opportunity to learn about the president that created the Battle Born state as the state gears up for our Nevada Sesquicentennial celebrations. This traveling panel exhibition was created by NEH.

The Society invites you to a free reception and lecture event at the Society. There will be refreshments and free admission to the galleries. Robert Nylen, Curator of History at the Nevada State Museum will give a lecture about Abraham Lincoln's first inaugural address and how the Pony Express played a role in its delivery in 1861. The reception is scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5:30-7:00pm. The lecture will begin at 6:15pm.
