The New Hampshire Boat Museum is an educational organization focusing on the boating heritage and life on the lakes and rivers of New Hampshire. We serve the local community and visitors by presenting exhibits and outreach programs, events, publications and hands-on activities.  We have a new exhibition every year that can include a selection of vintage wooden boats, canoes, kayaks, iceboats, outboard motors, steamboats, a vintage boat shop, and much more.

The museum offers various fun and educational programs throughout the summer season including our boat building programs, community sailing, the annual New England Vintage Boat & Car Auction, the Boathouse Tour on Lake Winnipesaukee, the Poker Run, the Back Bay Skippers who sail radio controlled model yachts on a weekly basis, the Lecture Series, Lake Discovery Summer Camp for elementary students, and much more!  Visit www.nhbm.org to see the full calendar of events.

The museum also owns and operates a twenty-eight foot, mahogany triple cock-pit “woodie” which is a replica of a 1928 Hacker-Craft. We offer the only ride of its kind on Lake Winnipesaukee. Not only will you relive memories of the golden age of wooden boats, but you will enjoy a 45 minute narrated tour of the most beautiful section of Lake Winnipesaukee.  Highlights of the tour include:

· Spectacular scenery
· Magnificent homes and boathouses, including the home of former MA Governor Mitt Romney
· Loon spotting at the Loon Sanctuary
· Hear fascinating stories about Lake history, geography, and wildlife

There is something for everyone at the museum!
