John Brown House Museum
The premier 18th-century house and museum in the state, the John Brown House Museum presents important aspects of the social and cultural history of the period when our country was new.
HOURS April 1 - November 30
Tuesday - Friday: Open 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Guided Tours at 1:30pm and 3:00pm
- Audio Tours from 1:00pm-3:30pm
Saturdays: Open 10:00am-4:00pm
- Guided Tours at 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm and 3:00pm
- 10:00am to 3:30pm
The John Brown House Museum is a Blue Star Museum, and is a Smithsonian Affiliate museum as part of the Rhode Island Historical Society.
New for Summer of 2015: The John Brown House Museum is open select Sundays, 1 to 4pm, with Benefit Street walking tours starting at noon – June 14, July 19, August 16, September 20, and October 25!
Closed in observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day , Victory Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
