Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park tells the rich history of the Blackstone Canal, the farm to factory transition that was taking place across a rapidly industrializing New England during the 19th century and the later dairy farming industry in New England. The park features 1000 acres of a formerly industrialized natural park, filled with trails and historic sites. The park’s Visitor Center is located at River Bend Farm in a 1913 barn along a restored section of the Blackstone Canal.  Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State park hosts a range of free interpretive programing year round about the history, nature and peoples of the Blackstone Valley. The park also has a bike path, horseback riding, canoe access, fishing, hunting picnic areas and more.
