Since 1999 the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association has owned, restored and operated the historic 146-acre Daniel Lady Farm on the Old Hanover Road. On July 1-3, 1863 the farm served as a staging area and field hospital for confederate troops during the attack on Culp's Hill. Confederate artillery moved from the farm to nearby Benner's Hill before being silenced by Federal artillery.

The Daniel Lady Farm is home to the Battle of Gettysburg Reenactment each year as well as other historic and educational programs throughout the year. In addition, The Daniel Lady Farm has an extensive youth camping program for scouts and organized youth groups which include tours of the house and barn and often living history demonstrations.

Tours of the house and barn are generally available April through October depending on volunteer availability and include presentations on the history of the property and family, 19th century farm life, and the farm's role in the Battle of Gettysburg. The lower level of the barn depicts the 1863 Confederate field hospital.
