This Native American Student Association of NMU, with coordinated efforts by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society and the Native American Language and Culture Club, organize and run the annual Learning to Walk Together Pow Wow at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. The pow wow is made possible with support from the following NMU departments:

Academic Affairs/Office of the Provost, Center for Native American Studies, Multicultural Education and Resource Center, College of Arts and Sciences, DeVos Art Museum, Psychology Department, Charter Schools, and History Department.

Organizing a pow wow is a lot of work. The Pow wow Committee appreciates all the volunteers who take their time to assist us. We will be seeking volunteers in a number of areas – kitchen/dining, set-up/tear-down, security/runners, and front desk.
