Reconstructed Camp Dubois in Wood River, Illinois is the venue of the annual spring (1st full weekend of May) and fall (4th full weekend of October) Camp Dubois Rendezvous. December 12, 1803, the Lewis and Clark flotilla pulled into Wood River where they set up a camp site on high ground not too far from the keel boat and wagon trail to Cahokia. Successfully wintering at Camp Dubois for five months. The current site has a small fragment of the old Wood River camp where Lewis and Clark set up their camp and a exact replica of their cabin.
