The theme of WMA’s 2012 Annual Meeting, RESTORE and REJUVENATE: Our Cultural and Natural Resources, speaks directly to this central aspect of the area. The cultural and natural resources of the region are the focus of many innovative conservation efforts. Through the preservation and restoration of many major architectural buildings, the area is distinguished as a unique and treasured showcase of mid-20th-century architecture. Palm Canyon has the largest palm oasis in the world, and a curative hot springs is located downtown—over the years, many have come for the “taking of the waters. ” For WMA’s 2012 Annual Meeting in Palm Springs, we hope you will come to RESTORE and REJUVENATE!
