After more than 320 years there have been countless stories told about the infamous 1692 Witch Hysteria. After so many years, and countless retellings can you tell the difference between documented fact and what is in fact a myth?  Did it really happen in Salem?  Were people accused only to get their land?  Join us as we delve through some of the most common myths and misconceptions.
     Lecture will be held in the replica 1672 Meeting House (where many hearings were held during the Witch Trials) at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead, who was one of the victims falsely accused as being a witch.

This lecture will be part of our ongoing FREE history series to the public, funded in part through a grant from the Danvers Local Cultural Council.
