Vermont History Expo 2014

    Improve listing Presented by

June 21 and 22 at the Tunbridge World's Fairgrounds

This year's theme: "Artists & Artisans: Vermont's Creative Heritage"

Picture yourself walking down a path and turning to wave hello to an artisan spinning woolen threads for winter wear. Pause for a moment, and you hear fiddle melodies just up the road.

As you walk on, you pass by a Civil War encampment, a play area where children are walking on stilts, and you smell waves of apple crisp and maple creemees in the air. In the field, you see a team of oxen working the land. On the roadway, you watch in awe while the parade streams by.

The only place this could all happen in one weekend is at the Vermont Historical Society’s Vermont History Expo!

Expo is down-home fun whether you are 8 or 88! Let us take you back to the days of small Vermont hill farms, rural country stores, horses and buggies, homespun clothes and stories, too! Over 150 history and heritage organizations offer fascinating exhibits sharing community history from all over the state. Artists, artisans, musicians, authors, crafters, and genealogists complete this history-filled heritage extravaganza!

To get an idea of what to expect at an Expo, you can check out the schedule of events from our 2012 Expo and browse more thsn 400 photos of that event.
