The Tipton-Haynes Summers Past Program camp that is geared to engage children ages 6-12. We offer six sessions that cover three periods in American history. The first is the Native American camp that explores Native American culture and history through crafts and drama. The dates for the first session are June 9-June 13 and June 30- July 4. Crafts for the Native American period include: Bead Weaving, Medicine Wheels, Rain sticks and much more. The second session covers America’s early settlements and pioneers. The dates for this session are June 16-20 and July 7-11. Crafts include: Basket Weaving, homemade baking, Candle Dipping and much more. Our last session will be focused on the Civil War era with Spinning/ Weaving, Felt making, and much, much more. The Civil war session dates are June 23-27 and July 14-18.
