The Women of Denver: A Tour by Bus
Thursday, November 15, 2012 - 10:00am - 3:00pm
Come discover how the women of the west ventured out of the home, across the prairie and into our state's history. We'll meet noble and notorious women of Denver, including Anne Evans, a founder of the Denver Art Museum and the Central City Opera; Chipeta, the Ute woman who negotiated for peace; and Mattie Silks, Denver's most famous madam. Learn the stories of how the not so "weaker-sex" transformed rowdy Denver into a proud, civilized town.
