The Fife is Right: The 8th Annual Old South History Challenge

2013 Theme: From Shining Sea to City Shore
Wednesday, April 3 at 7 pm at Old South Meeting House, 310 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02108

Be part of The Fife Is Right—a unique, fast-paced, live-action quiz show that is not quite like anything else you have ever experienced! Dive deeper than the level of ordinary pub trivia in this year’s sand, ship and shore-inspired game.

Only at The Fife is Right can you challenge your own knowledge of Boston against two teams of local experts—historians, authors, seafarers and shipwrights—as they compete to become captains of history!

Author, historian and Quizmaster Susan Wilson and the Old South Meeting House staff will hit our experts with wave after wave of challenging questions about wonderful waterways, bayside beaches, super sea creatures, perilous pirates and prominent piers.

The answers are so detailed and so fun that you’ll leave an expert yourself! As part of the audience, you may need to toss a life preserver out to contestants in trouble!

Why is it called The Fife is Right? Because you’ll hear the cheery tune on fife if the team answers a question correctly, of course! (How else could Boston’s famous 1729 colonial gathering place signal a correct answer?!)
