Rokeby Museum's 2015 exhibit - The Farm - features nearly 40 pictures of farm life 150 years ago. Born at Rokeby in 1833, Rowland Evans Robinson ventured to New York as a young man to pursue his art career. He eventually found a market for his work in the agricultural press of the day, and that association created this rich archive, including casual sketches, finished drawings, and published engravings. The pictures are by turns charming, beautiful, and instructive.
