Examining the Past: Experimental Archaeology as a Living History Tool

2016 Annual Meeting

The Texas Living History Association will hold its 4th Annual Meeting at Fort Martin Scott in Fredericksburg, Texas on January 21-24, 2016. The conference will focus on experimental archaeology and using the original methods in improving living history. Experimental archaeology has several working definitions, but the one we are focusing on is: using the original methods and materials to recreate an artifact, action, or result. The conference offers those who are interested in gaining more knowledge about the Texas living history community an excellent opportunity to meet others in the field. The meeting is open to both institutional and private living historians of all periods. Attendees can choose from a wide variety of sessions aimed at improving your knowledge and skills. All living historians, beginners and veterans alike, are encouraged to attend.
