Techniques for Beginning French Canadian Genealogy Research

-- The American-French Genealogical Society is hosting a workshop on the basic techniques of starting French Canadian family ancestral search.  The free program will be held on Saturday, October 27 at the AFGS Franco-American Heritage Center at 10 a.m.  The center is located at 78 Earle Street in Woonsocket.

     Dennis Boudreau, a past president of AFGS and a professional genealogist with more than 30 years of research experience will present the program.  Topics covered include starting the search at home, organizing your data, using library collections, Internet resources, reading religious and civil registers and census records.
