The Brick Store Museum invites guests of all ages to learn about the town of Kennebunk like never before. Town Historian Stephen Spofford will share the history of the town through archival photographs and little known stories in the presentation “So You Think You Know Kennebunk?” at the Brick Store Museum’s Program Center. The one-hour presentation will begin at 5:30PM. Make a night of it! Attendees will receive a coupon for 10% off that night’s dinner (food only) at Duffy’s Tavern & Grill in downtown Kennebunk.

What is “the Old Brick?” Where was the original Kennebunk Free Library? How did ships fit down the Kennebunk River? What is leatheroid? Who is Edith Barry? Where are Kennebunk’s old trolley lines? What happened to the 27th Maine Regiment’s Medals of Honor? These are just a few of the mysteries that Spofford will answer! Join the Brick Store Museum on this tour through Kennebunk’s fascinating and often-unknown history. Come prepared with questions!

Tickets are $10.00 per person, $5.00 for Museum members. No reservations needed – tickets may be purchased online in advance OR at the door.

Prior to the presentation, visitors are invited to view the Museum’s exhibits, To Sea: The Maritime Heritage of the Kennebunks, and Vitamin V: How Food Fought the Second World War. For more information, call the Museum at 207-985-4802. All funds raised from the program will go to new and exciting museum events throughout 2014.
