Let the Framingham History Center take you back to the beloved "kinder, gentler shopping center" with an exhibition of images, artifacts, merchandise and memorabilia.  The country's first mall east of the Rockies was a treasured community gathering spot for over 40 years and this show will surely pluck at the heartstrings of all who worked, shopped or played there.  With a design that emulated a necklace, Jordan Marsh's iconic dome represented the pendant, with the 43 other original stores representing the beads or links on the chain.  The mall's development and opening in 1951 was just one of many other factors that contributed to America's largest town's most explosive-growth decades.  Admission is free for FHC members, otherwise $5/person.
