The Golden Ball Tavern was built in 1768 by Loyalist-turned-Patriot Isaac Jones, a prominent Weston resident.  He built it on the Boston Post Road, one of the most significant roadways of the day and one of our nation’s first highways.  The Golden Ball Tavern played a pivotal role in the unfolding of the Revolutionary War when it served as a base for British spies in 1775.
