Sandwich Glass Museum
The Sandwich Historical Society and the Sandwich Glass Museum interpret the history of the town of Sandwich and it glass industry. Exhibits of glass and historical items tell the story of the town's greatest contribution to the American Industrial Revolution.
Displays of over 6,000 glass pieces created by different glass companies in Sandwich during the 19th and 20th centuries are on exhibit in fifteen galleries. The Museum includes daily glassblowing demonstrations, a multi-media theater, a contemporary glass gallery, the Levine Lighting Gallery and the Hannah "Rebecca" Dining Room, c 1880, interactive and special exhibits complete the experience. In addition, there is a beautiful Museum Store featuring the work of contemporary glass artists as well as reproductions, perfumes, jewelry, paperweights, vases and ornaments. Located in the heart of Sandwich's Glass Town Cultural district.
