'Rivertown Reliques': Tour of War of 1812 Homes and Battlefield

Tour early 19th-century French-Canadian piece-sur-piece log houses that were homes of participants in the Battle of Prairie du Chien during the War of 1812. The structures are the Strange Powers House, the Francois Vertefeuille House and the LaRiviere-Ravoux House. The event will also include an archaeological dig on the grounds of the Pierre LaRiviere House, conducted by the Mississippi Valley Archaeological Center, and a tour of the grounds of Fort Shelby located at the Villa Louis historic site.
