Carp, author of "Defiance of the Patriots: The Boston Tea Party & the Making of America," as he discusses Indian disguises amongst the destroyers of the tea at Griffin’s Wharf on December 16, 1773. What does historic evidence tell us about these disguises, and what misconceptions linger? Learn why Boston Tea Party participants selected Native American, and specifically Mohawk, disguises, and what this aspect of the Boston Tea Party can tell us about the emerging identity of Anglo-Americans in 18th-century Boston.
