Redware pottery demonstration and talk

This pottery demonstration and lecture is a family oriented event, sponsored by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, hosted by the Agawam Council on Aging, Agawam Community of Artists and Artisans and the Agawam Historical Society.

The techniques of pottery making will be demonstrated, including the making of a c1820's Whately MA Crafts teapot in under 10 minutes. Colonial and Early Massachusetts pottery history and stories of the potters will be discussed as well as the CT Valley pottery industry.
