Praying Town is a documentary that explores the history of Natick’s diverse populations, from the time of the Praying Indians through the Civil War.

            The film was conceptualized, produced, directed, and edited by filmmaker Zadi Zokou.

            In telling the history of Native Americans, African Americans and European Americans in Natick and Massachusetts, Praying Town aims to help those communities to know more about each other’s common history.

            The documentary was shot almost entirely in Natick, Massachusetts. Following the screening of the 93-minute film, the audience is invited to take part in a discussion with the filmmaker.
