Discover a method of printing employed from the middle of the 15th century into the 20th century, and continuing to this day!

During this two-hour, hands-on workshop participants will learn some of the history and technology of printing presses and movable type. Using a plate image from our collection of broadsides, you will create your own announcement. You will learn to use a job stick, hand-set type from a sample collection of metal and wood typefaces, then print a card to take with you and share with everyone. We will supply all the materials needed—you supply the creativity!
