Parent and Me Series--Happy Birthday, St. Louis

Commemorate St. Louis's 250th birthday! Bring your preschool-age children to experience St. Louis history by exploring the Museum's exhibitions and participating in activities! Families will move at their own pace as they complete activities incorporating touch, movement, smell, sound, art, and more.

Outdoor activities are planned on most days but subject to weather. Activities are appropriate for children ages 2-5. Light snacks will be available.

Week 1 (4/3 & 4/4): Discovering St. Louis: Currents
Celebrate the city's founders and explorers! Kids will have a chance to examine geodes, furs, and objects used by the Plains Indians who lived in our area. Plus, kids will build a campfire and join in a sing-a-long.


Week 2 (4/10 & 4/11): Working St. Louis featuring 250 in 250
Explore the careers of famous St. Louisans. Kids can put out a fire, work in a hospital, serve frozen custard, and more! Ted Drewes treats will be provided.

Week 3 (4/17 & 4/18): Playing St. Louis featuring Seeking St. Louis: Reflections
St. Louis has always had fabulous parks where families can enjoy the great outdoors. Play outdoor games, pack a picnic, and meet real baby animals.

Week 4 (4/24 & 4/25): Living St. Louis featuring 250 in 250
Enjoy the ultimate birthday party to celebrate St. Louis's birthday! Kids can decorate cupcakes, dress up as clowns, make keepsake photo albums, and get their faces painted.
