African Americans in the Revolution
presented by Joe Becton and Noah Lewis.
Joe Becton was a Marine, Park Ranger at Independence National Park, Counselor, Teacher, Musician, and Director of Visitor Services at Fort Mifflin. Noah Lewis is a Living History Presenter portraying Edward “Ned” Hector, a black colonial soldier, Wagoneer, and Respected Patriot Hero. Both will present the dilemma the African Americans faced of joining the fight as either a loyalist or patriot.

Admission price is $49 per person which includes the 18th century American Fare Buffet, all soft beverages and coffee, family style sweets during the question and answer session,
all tax and gratuities are, a lecture by a noted historian or author, and a donation to help support the Paoli Battlefield Historical Park. New this season, we are including a raffle ticket for a chance to win a night’s stay at the General Warren Inne. There will be one winner drawn at each lecture. INCLUDED
Access to the room begins at 5:45 PM and the buffet commences at 6 PM sharp. The lecture begins promptly at 6:40 PM, followed by Questions and Answers of the presenter.
